 STEFANO BOERI/MULTIPLICITY/MAILAND
Architect and urban planner (1956) teaches urban design at the University of Venice and Lausanne. Recently, his work has appeared in the Mutations exhibition (AA.VV, Mutations, Actar, Barcelona, 2000), where - together with the Multiplicity research group - he exhibited the installation "USE-Uncertain States of Europe." His office is involved in many transformation projects in port areas in the Mediterranean (Genoa, Naples, Mytilene, Salerno, Trieste).

Architekt und Stadtplaner (1956), hat Stadtdesign an den Universitäten von Venedig und Lausanne unterrichtet. Kürzlich waren seine Arbeiten bei der "Mutations"-Ausstellung (AA.VV, Mutations, Actar, Barcelona, 2000) zu sehen, bei der er zusammen mit der Multiplicity Forschungsgruppe, die Installation "USE - Uncertain States of Europe" ausgestellt hat. Sein Büro ist an mehreren Transformationsprojekten in mediterranen Hafengebieten beteiligt (Genua, Neapel, Mytilene, Salerno, Triest).
Multiplicity
With Multiplicity, an agency for territorial investigations Boeri undertakes case-studies (USE - uncertain states of europe) revealing self-organisation processes, and studies on non-deterministic urban planning. He calls for a new paradigm in the conceptualisation of the urban phenomenon.
